We get a variety of responses to our articles. We received the following anonymous note:

"If humans were ethically, morally and socially perfect there would be no concept called sin and hence no need for the conceptual entities: gods, devils, souls, angels and an afterlife."

RESPONSE: We believe the key word to the above is "if." If humans were indeed ethically, morally and socially perfect, there would be no sin. In that case, humans would be living in perfect communion with God.

God is not something conceived by man. The universe, including the earth and men, would not exist if there were no God. Nothing comes from nothing. God created the universe, with man on the earth, because He wanted to do so. He spoke it into existence. Did He create out of nothing or were all things created as a part of God? The answer to that will come in the afterlife mentioned by our questioner.

Are "sin, gods, devils, souls, angels and an afterlife" mere conceptual entities? These things are described in the Bible where our questioner probably learned of them. Nothing in the Bible has ever been proven to be false. Therefore, these things really exist and are not mere concepts.

Could humans be "ethically, morally, and socially perfect" if there were no God to provide laws that identify what it means to be perfect? We think not. If evolution were true and mankind were merely the product of blind chance, humans would be animals with only the "kill or be killed" mentality of animals. But evolution has never been proven. It is a false concept.

Christians can look forward to an afterlife with God and His angels. Nonbelievers, whether they want to or not, will experience an afterlife as well, but theirs will be with Satan. Then, it will be too late for them to change their minds and believe in God.
